Concrete and Asphalt Hauling in Sylva, NC
Concrete goes in its own container, filled partway, priced by weight. Mixing it with general debris is the most expensive mistake in this business.
A cubic yard of broken concrete weighs about two tons. Fill a 20 yard box with it and no truck can legally carry it off your property, which means the driver leaves and you still have the concrete. So heavy material gets a 10 yard loaded to roughly half, and that is not caution. It is what the axle limits allow.
Clean loads are the part worth caring about. Concrete, brick, block and asphalt with no wood, plastic, rebar or trash mixed in go to a crushing and recycling facility rather than a landfill, and the disposal rate is meaningfully lower. One pallet or one bag of jobsite trash thrown on top reclassifies the entire container to mixed waste pricing.
Driveway tear-outs, patio and sidewalk removal, foundation work, retaining wall demolition and excavation spoil all land here. Clean fill dirt has the same weight problem and the same clean-load advantage.
Placement matters more than usual. A half-full concrete container still puts several tons on one spot, so it wants firm level ground and boards under the rails on any driveway.
